ALTERNATIVE MEDICAL ASSOCIATION OF INDIA - AMAI
ABOUT
The
association is formed with a view to co- ordinate and for the
unification of Alternative Medical practitioners in India and to seek
recognition for the traditional therapies which were kept set aside by
the Govt’s , but has a shining future ahead among the world around. It
was started on March 28th 2015.
Now it has its Headquarters at Thiruvananathapuram, Kerala state and has registered with the Govt. Having No.TVM/TC/932/2015.
The
Association shall be a Nonprofit and Nongovernmental association with a
vision to co-ordinate and promote Alternative medical practitioners and
to protect their rights , who are qualified and have registered status
with the various governments ,state and central, registering authorities
which registered with the government and acts within the limits of
Indian constitution for the well-being of the Indian people
The
Association is to promote the science of Alternative medicine viz. Herbal Medicine ,Yoga,
acupressure, acupuncture, Aromatherapy, magneto therapy, Bach flower
therapy ,Electropathy / Electro- homoeopathy , TCM , Psychological
counseling , Shiatsu, Hypnotherapy, Bio energy therapy, Osteopathy,
Reiki , Reflexology etc…etc..
Activities of the association :-
The
Association is to promote the science of Alternative medicine viz.
Herbal Medicine, Yoga, Pranichealng, Acupressure, Acupuncture, Aromatherapy, Magneto therapy, Bach
flower therapy ,Electropathy/Electro homoeopathy , TCM , Psychological
counseling , Shiatsu, Hypnotherapy, Bio energy therapy, Osteopathy,
Reiki , Reflexology etc…etc..
- The Association seeks to help Alternative medical practitioners to organize and help the people to themselves for better access to improve their general Health and quality of life.
- The Association aims to eradicate ill health and ignorance of maintaining good health etc., from the marginalized sections of society by empowerment and their participative role in society which is vital to a vibrant civil society of the state of India. The Association shall encourage and promote traditional Medicine and its use and conservation of natural resources, respect for human health .To conduct research and investigation in the field of Alternative medicine to improve the healthy living standards of the depressed deprived section of society
- To publish treaties, books, periodical, literature on various topics and to undertake documentation of materials in the educational field as afore said.
- To start educational institutions ,institute and maintain libraries and readings rooms ,research centers etc , to achieve the aims and objectives of the Association.
- To conduct lecturers, seminars, symposiums, memorial lectures, and allied programs to help and promote Alternative medicine. To render proper 1egal aid/assistance to deserving Practitioners for protection of their legal and constitutional rights irrespective of their caste, creed or religion and field of work.
- To express considered opinions on matter that may affect adversely the public interest of Practitioners by action or inaction from government authorities including local bodies and other organizations and to secure to them social justice.
- To represent the Association in government or nongovernmental organization or statutory bodies.
- To acquire, construct, maintain, improve, develop or alter any land, buildings or other movable or immovable properties, necessary for the effective functioning of the Association. To accept grant, donations, gifts, subscription, fees etc and raise funds in furtherance of the aims and objectives of the Association.
- To acquire, hold, lease, mortgage, and dispose of movable or immovable properties of the association and to borrow money upon such terms and conditions as may be fixed by the executive committee of the Association. To constitute National, State, District level, State level committees and also Sub Committees for the effective implementation of various programs and activities undertaken by the Association.
- To promote training, social and cultural activities among members of association
- To encourage moral courage rooted in humanity linked with medical ethics, yet firm in friendship and fraternity.
